Orchardgrass - Potomac (E)

A cool-season, early maturing perennial grass, Potomac Orchardgrass is ideal for any economical pasture and hay forage production. This highly palatable variety is perfect for all classes of livestock, and is particularly well-suited for use in Northern states under intensive rotational grazing systems. Potomac Orchardgrass is a bunch-type grass that is tolerant to shade and fairly drought-resistant, making it an excellent option for areas with challenging growing conditions. While it matures too early to be compatible with alfalfa, it is one of the most productive cool-season grasses used in monoculture for high yields.
